Go Powertrain has hit its 6 year mark of being in business. November 17, 2014, Aaron, the owner took a leap of faith and started the business from the ground up. He left his job after 10 years as a Parts Manager at a local dealership. He had one young child and another on the way (and now since has 3 children). He had support from many other businesses, friends, family, and beyond. 

Today we celebrate 6 years. Most businesses see themselves as successful at the 10 year mark. We cannot wait to reach that. But we can't get ahead of ourselves. Businesses aren't built overnight and they continually need to evaluate and re-evaluate their goals. 

Here at Go Powertrain we've had to do that more than ever in 2020. Thank you to all of our customers for sticking by us and we are fortunate to be working with so many that continue to be bringing in their own business despite the impact Covid has had on small businesses. 

The Automotive Industry is classified as an essential business. So many people can be thankful for that and not take it for granted. We still don't know what the future holds with the economy, small businesses, or much else. We can continue to support each other and help each other be successful.

Instant success is a miracle not a rule of thumb and small businesses shouldn’t look at them as models of growth. It’s more reasonable to expect lots of mistakes and tiny steps forward, or as Forbes puts it, “failing forward.”

At year four and beyond, a small business can look for the following markers of success:

• Sharper brand positioning
• Effective marketing
• More efficient management team
• Refined process of customer acquisition
• Better product development
• Stronger profit margins

In 2020, Go Powertrain made the Inc 5000 list with ranking of 1337 (https://www.inc.com/profile/go-powertrain). We are proud of this accomplishment. It wasn't a goal when the business was started but the company set sights on it in 2019. Go Powertrain has an amazing team of inside sales, outside sales, warranty team, marketing, core department, logistics team, accounting and HR. We also work with top notch manufacturers to provide you with a great product and most of our products contain a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty that we stand behind.

For all those businesses just starting out! Keep plugging forward. You never know where you'll end up. The next thing you know you could be celebrating 2 years, 5 years, and then the 10 year mark and more. It won't come without frustrations, blood, sweat, or tears.
